Piano Lessons: Lessons are Monday through Friday after school each week. Lessons are 30 minutes long, and I charge $9 per lesson. (For younger students, it’s 15 minutes for $5.) I plan two recitals per year, one in December and one in May. I do not give lessons in June, but I can during July and August, if you are interested in doing summer lessons. The cost of books is not included in the $9/lesson; if you already have books, I will use those, but if you are new to piano, I will order books from the Alfred series. Church Services: I have provided music for many church services in my life. Actually, I was the regular organist for my childhood home church before I was confirmed. While I am most comfortable behind a piano and/or a microphone, as I mentioned, I do have experience at an organ bench. While I do have a church that I attend regularly right now, if you do need a substitute organist for an occasional Sunday, please feel free to contact me, and I will see if I am available. I have experience in Lutheran liturgy, hymns, and contemporary music. I charge $50 for this service.

Wedding Services: Thus far in my life, I have provided music for half a dozen weddings. In doing so, I have built up a pretty decent repertoire of “wedding music”. To give you an idea of my abilities, and to help you in your planning, I will soon post a few personal recordings of my favorite traditional and contemporary wedding songs. In the past, I have charged $100 for this service, which includes the rehearsal and the service. In other words, there are no additional “hidden” charges.

Other Services/Venues: If you need me to perform for another gig you’ve got planned, feel free to contact me about it. We can then talk to me about what kind of gig it is, how much music you need or how long you need me to be there, what kind of music you need or if you would like for me to play some of my own music, and if so, whether you would let me sell my own CDs there. After we discuss these things, we can negotiate a price (I often do free gigs, depending on the situation, because it helps me get my name out there).
